A Itapemirim Air Transport requested more flights to Uruguay in the last few hours. We previously published that the airline expected to carry out its first operations between Brazil and Uruguay in November, with only 12 flights between the countries.
Now Itapemirim is reaching a total of 80 flights between Brazil and Uruguay in six days, with its new flight request to ANAC. These are operated from Rio de Janeiro (Galeão) and São Paulo (GRU) between the 24th and 30th of November.
There are a total of 80 flights between countries, including operations with engers and aircraft transfers. You can check all this programming Clicking here (attention, PDF) and the previously scheduled schedule Clicking here.
The company will transport Flamengo and Palmeiras fans traveling to the Libertadores Final, scheduled to take place in Montevideo on November 27th.
All flights will be operated by the company's Airbus A320, with capacity for 162 engers in a single class. The only question at the moment is how the company will manage to fulfill so many flights with only five aircraft in the fleet, however, this operation can add a good income for the company.
The company is currently studying operations between Brazil and Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2022. This could be the first operation of regular international flights by Itapemirim.
Itapemirim is investing heavily in chartered flights, despite its regular operations. The company has several scheduled flights between Brasilia and Maceió in high season, in a recent partnership with CVC.
