Arraiolos
One of the few castles in the world with a circular architecture, it is located just 20 minutes from Évora, on top of Monte de São Pedro, surrounded by an ellipse-shaped wall. In addition to visiting the castle, it is possible to enjoy a wonderful view of the Alentejo countryside.
Beja

The highlight of this construction is the tower, which is 40 meters high. More than the size and grandeur, however, this part of the castle also has a unique beauty. Visitors can climb its 200 steps to enjoy a breathtaking view. The tower is made up of three rooms, which have elements of Muslim, Medieval Roman and Manueline inspiration.
Elvas

Despite not being a castle, but a fortress, it deserves attention. Considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the other historic buildings in Elvas, it is one of the best examples of Portuguese military architecture. Due to its proximity to Spain, even the city was developed as a true fortress and tourists can explore several forts and forts scattered throughout the destination.
Estremoz
With the spectacular Torre das Três Coroas, 27 meters high and made of white marble, it was originally built for Queen Santa Isabel, known for the miracle of having turned coins into roses in the 14th century. charm, with decoration and furniture that refer to medieval times.
evoramonte

Monsaraz
Located in a charming medieval village on the outskirts of Alqueva, the largest artificial lake in Europe, the castle is one of the most visited spots there. Situated on top of a hill, among small cobblestone streets and whitewashed houses, the place has yet another much sought after attraction: its magnificent sunset.
