Swissport Brasil is offering yet another service to customers, related to civil aviation security (AVSEC), and the first customer is an American airline, which now has at the airports of Guarulhos, in São Paulo, and Galeão, the Rio de Janeiro.
“This service has a strong projection in Latin America and for two years Swissport, in partnership with CheckPort, has been investing heavily in this niche”, said Doron Levy, responsible for the AVSEC area in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Levy explains that today Brazil is one of the most important markets for the company in the AVSEC area, particularly due to the large number of potential customers. But the expansion has also been great in Argentina, where the service began to be offered in February last year and already represents 30% of the business.
“Technology replaces people in many areas (at check-in, for example); but in security, which is responsible for monitoring all services performed before takeoff, the work is essentially done by duly trained and qualified professionals,” said Levy.
Checkport is a company of the group that has 20 years of experience in Aviation Security with more than 40 clients distributed in several countries around the world. In addition, it has a team highly trained in security and vulnerability assessments, which allows it to provide complete and customized solutions for customers on a local or global level. Swissport/CheckPort thus ensures that the customer has total flexibility in choosing the right solution for contracting services. AVSEC.
