The Indian Air Force may sign a new agreement for the purchase of more batches of the French 4th generation fighter plus, Dassault Rafale. According to the Economic Times, a new order should be signed next year.
It is worth ing that India already has an agreement for the purchase of 36 Rafales, the first one to be delivered in October at an official ceremony.

With the possible acquisition of another 36, the Rafales fleet would increase to 72 units, and this shows the concern of the Indian government in having a strong air force, which in fact for them is good since the country has tensions with its neighbors, like Pakistan for example.
In addition to the Rafales, the Indian Air Force is also renewing other aircraft, such as the fleet of 272 Sukhoi SU-30MKI fighters, with an interest in the acquisition of 18 new fighters of this model, plus the acquisition of 21 MiG-29 fighters.
In this competitive market Boeing appears with the F-18 Super Hornet and Lockheed Martin with the F-16, or F-21 as it would be known in the IAF (Indian Air Force).
