The Scheduled and Flexible fares continue to include, free of charge, one piece of luggage of up to 23 kg and GOL , available only on international flights, two pieces of the same weight.

Reservations purchased before April 04th, regardless of the flight date, do not change. In this way, customers will have time to familiarize themselves with the news. “Our customers will be able to choose the one that best suits their moment of travel, without paying for a service they don't use”, said Eduardo Bernardes Neto, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GOL.

The company will also comply with the new regulations and will offer, as of March 14, the possibility of transporting up to 10 kg as hand luggage.

Azul Linhas Aéreas announced this week that it will adopt a model similar to that of GOL, the company will have two fare classes, one that entitles you to check in baggage and another that does not entitle you to check in. The amount charged by Azul for checked baggage will be similar to that charged by GOL, only R$30,00 for a 23 kg allowance. Implementation at Azul will be gradual and will take place from next week.

LATAM also announced that it will charge for checked baggage, but unlike GOL and Azul, the company will not create different fare classes. In the future, LATAM will charge a fee starting at BRL 50 for checked baggage, in the allowance for a volume of up to 23 kg. In the coming months, the company will continue to offer the franchise for free, until it is incorporated into all its flights.
