As of March 26, LATAM will change the aircraft and, in this way, double the capacity of its Guarulhos-Barcelona operation. With current occupancy close to 90%, the four weekly flights from Brazil to Catalonia will be operated by the Boeing 777 (410 engers) instead of the Boeing 767 (225 engers).

Aline Mafra, Director of Sales and Marketing at LATAM Brazilexplains the change: “We are the company in Brazil with the largest number of international flights and destinations and the only one with its own flights to Spain. The end of Covid-19 restrictions and the continued increase in the desire to travel are the reasons for the growth in occupancy on our flight to Barcelona. And the ability to meet this demand is a major strength of LATAM that reflects our own commitment to Brazil. In 2023, we are more efficient than ever and very attentive to these growths to increasingly connect our country with the world.”

In addition to Barcelona, LATAM also flies directly from Brazil to Madrid, the capital of Spain.
