The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) granted Indústria Paulista de Aeronáutica (Impaer) the Certificate of Recognition for the Colt 100 aircraft, recognizing it as a Special Light Sport Aircraft (ALE). With the recognition, the company is authorized to manufacture and operate the aircraft in Brazil, expanding the range of equipment in this category. INPAER is the eighth Brazilian manufacturer to receive the recognition of ALE Special.
ANAC carried out a sample documentary verification work and technical visits to the manufacturer, inspection on the aircraft, to that the companies carried out the analyzes and tests required by the consensual norms and if the declarations of the manufacturers have a technical basis.
Headquartered in the city of Campinas, in São Paulo, Inpaer began the procedures for recognizing the aircraft as ALE Special in December 2021. The process is based on the manufacturer's declaration that the aircraft and the company's quality system meet the consensual standards of ASTM International (American Society for Testing and Materials) — an international standardization body —, as provided for in the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation (RBAC) No. 21.
