The LATAM group was recognized by its own customers in the “Most Comfortable Seat” categories (Best Seat Comfort) and “Best Catering” (Best Food & Beverage) from South America at the APEX enger Choice Awards 2023. For the second year in a row, engers voted and evaluated the efforts of airlines and LATAM in caring for enger service.
For the 2023 awards, the Airline enger Experience Association (APEX) asked engers to anonymously rate nearly one million flights operated by more than 600 airlines worldwide, on a scale of up to five stars. engers gave anonymous ratings in five subcategories: Seat Comfort, Cabin Service, Catering, Inflight Entertainment and Wi-Fi.
INVESTMENT TO IMPROVE EXPERIENCE

Attentive to the customer, LATAM teams have been working hard to offer a careful and consistent in-flight experience throughout the entire interaction process with the brand, from choosing the flight to picking up the luggage.
In the case of comfort on board, the group has already invested more than US$500 million in a comprehensive cabin refurbishment project, which has included the installation of all-new seats. They were selected through a rigorous process to achieve the greatest comfort, highlighting special features such as the reclining and headrest of the seats with six-axis movements.
Particularly in the Business cabin, new, even larger seats have been incorporated that offer the possibility of reclining 180 degrees, autonomy to access the aisle, more space to store personal items and more privacy, guaranteeing a better experience during the flight.
Meanwhile, in order to improve the Catering, a progressive renovation of the menus in the Economy and Business cabins was carried out, incorporating ingredients that highlight the versatility of Latin American cuisine, with more variety of options and a wide prominence of local products. Likewise, some iconic recipes from emerging chefs from across the region were incorporated to showcase their work and impact in their respective countries.
