The Municipal Airport of Costa Rica (MS) undergoes an inspection and can enter commercial flight routes after approval by the competent bodies. On Friday (30), mayor Cleverson Alves dos Santos, deputy mayor Roni Cota, federal deputy Beto Pereira, councilors and municipal secretaries accompanied the analysis of the track for release.
“We came to know the conditions of the infrastructure and analyze what needs to be invested and, from there, raise flights to bring development to the municipality”, explained Derick Machado de Souza, Road Superintendent and Air Transport Coordinator at the State Secretariat for Infrastructure, who assessed the infrastructure conditions to accredit the airport to commercial flights that can leave the municipality.

The Costa Rica City Hall also sent details of José Antônio de Moraes Municipal Airport to aviation companies in order to open partnerships so that they are in operation soon.
“With the commercial flight leaving Costa Rica, the population will be able to connect directly to international airports, in addition to facilitating tourism”, reveals Mayor Cleverson. “For us to receive tourists, it will be essential to have a direct branch with the big centers”, he evaluates.
