The second Airbus KC-30 of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) took off this Wednesday afternoon (11) from Tel Aviv Airport, Israel. On board are another 211 Brazilians who leave the country after attacks by the jihadist group Hamas.
This is the second repatriation flight of Operation Returning in Peace. The first aircraft landed this morning in Brasília, also with 211 people. It is expected that three more flights will be carried out, two with the KC-30 and one with the Embraer KC-390 Millennium; Like the Airbuses, the KC-390 is making a stopover in Rome before heading to the Middle East.
Another two Embraer VC-2, used by the Presidency of the Republic, are available for the operation, the largest of its kind ever carried out by the Air Force.
FAB 2902 took off from Tel Aviv at 12:31 pm (Brasília time) and will make a direct flight to Galeão Airport, in Rio de Janeiro, where it should land in the early hours of Thursday (12). Minutes after takeoff, the FAB jet was already leading among the most followed traffic in the world on the tracking website Flightradar 24.
