Federal Government launches guide for financing airport projects

It was published in last Friday's (1st) edition of Federal Official Gazette Ordinance No. 1.138, of September 29, 2021, approving the Airport Project Manual. It is a reference document for public agents, from all spheres of government, responsible for planning and contracting airport studies and projects to be carried out with public resources from the National Civil Aviation Fund (FNAC).

Developed through a partnership between the Investment Department of the National Secretariat of Civil Aviation and the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), the manual arose from the need for the Federal Government to present, in a transparent manner, the parameters of quality and acceptance for the execution of these undertakings.

After two years of work and contributions from more than 50 professionals, it has become a complete guide for new ventures with regulations, references, criteria, guidelines and requirements so that projects are carried out in accordance with the highest quality and safety standards required in Worldwide. Thus, it is also guidance to designers, analysts and reviewers of proposals, professionals in the airline industry and in the areas of engineering and architecture.

In the publication, professionals and managers are also guided on the determination of the current federal management that public works be carried out according to the Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology, which uses high technology from planning to completion of the project. project, ensuring efficiency, speed and lower cost.

Today, the Civil Aviation Secretariat of the Ministry of Infrastructure (SAC/MInfra) has a portfolio of 20 airports with projects adopting the BIM methodology, in different stages.
