Venezuela launches weekly flights to China and Iran, operated by Conviasa

In recent weeks we published here on the AEROFLAP Portal that the state-owned airline of Venezuela, Conviasa, had launched Direct flights from Caracas to Tehran, Iran. Now the airline is expanding its operations again, with flights to China.

Taking advantage of its flights to Tehran, Conviasa decided to extend its route to also serve Guangzhou, a Chinese city located close to Hong Kong.

The entire operation will be carried out with the Airbus A340-300, an aircraft with capacity for 255 engers in three classes.

The flights will operate from July 30, according to the company, and add two monthly operations to Iran. This is also the only connection between a South American country and China, carrying engers.

The flight takes off from Caracas at 22:00 pm on Saturdays, and lands in Guangzhou at 16:00 pm on Mondays. On the way back, the flight takes off from Guangzhou at 19:00 pm on Monday, landing in Caracas at 13:30 pm on Tuesday. It is worth noting that all these weekly flights will have a stopover in Tehran.

With the launch of the new route, Guangzhou of China will be Conviasa's third destination in Asia, after from Moscow (Russia) and Tehran.

In addition to the A340-600, the state-owned Conviasa also operates the A340-200 and -300, as well as the Embraer 190 E1 and the ATR 72/42 for regional destinations, including an Airbus A319 and a Boeing 737-200 for transport. presidential.
