The Florianópolis x Santiago de Chile route was made official as another regular destination at the Florianópolis International Airport, and the first flight marking this moment landed at the airport on Sunday (3), at 17 pm.
Initially, there will be 3 flights per week, carried out by the airline. SKY airline, with an A320neo model aircraft, which has capacity for 186 seats.
The route becomes the second regular international operation from the Capital airport, an unprecedented fact for Santa Catarina. Flights to Chile were only operated during the high season. Hercílio Luz's other regular international flight is to Buenos Aires, Argentina, operated by Gol, which resumed at the end of March.
Among the good news from the Capital airport is the recovery of engers since the beginning of the pandemic. On average between the first months of the year, from January to June 2022, the airport recovered 80% of movement compared to the same period in 2019.
For July, Florianópolis International Airport forecasts a 90% recovery in flight traffic, when compared to the same period in 2019.
Now, Florianópolis International Airport operates 11 regular destinations, including domestic and international ones: Brasília, Confins-Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Guarulhos, Congonhas, Viracopos, Foz do Iguaçu, Porto Alegre, Chapecó, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile.
