Air operators and aeronautical product maintenance organizations now have a Digital Transformation Program (PTD) under the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
Instituted by Ordinance 8.499/SP0, of July 7, 2022 (click on the link to access), the initiative seeks to increase the safety and efficiency of civil aviation.
Aligned with the Simple Flight Program, which was instituted to modernize the airline industry, the PTD seeks to assist airline operators and maintenance organizations in the digital transformation process. The goal of digital transformation goes beyond simply replacing physical processes with digital tools.
It is an effort to guide decisions and processes based on data collected in order to change not only the way work is currently done, but the behavior of those involved.
In the Digital Transformation Program, ANAC will work in partnership with the market to identify and deal with difficulties in adopting electronic tools and automated processes.
One of the focuses of the program is the electronic records of operations and maintenance, which make it possible to automate tasks and exchange information, making processes more efficient and economical for operators and workshops.
The use of this digital data reduces processing errors, ensuring that procedures are carried out as predicted in manuals.
Thus, once implemented, the digital transformation of air operators and maintenance organizations will reinforce the development and safety of Brazilian civil aviation.
