JetSMART launches Curitiba-Santiago flight with promotional code on tickets

A JetSMART Airlines officially carried out its first flight between Curitiba (CWB) and Santiago de Chile (SCL) today (19). This is one of two routes in the capital of Paraná announced by the ultra-low-cost airline with sales open since April 4th. Curitiba will also have a direct flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina, starting on July 11th.

The seasonal flight between Curitiba and Santiago (lasting 3h30) has three weekly frequencies (Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays) and more than 15 thousand engers are expected on the route until September. The operation to Chile is focused on travelers who want to visit snow destinations, such as Valle Nevado and Nevados de Chillán, which are some of Brazilians' favorites during the winter in the southern hemisphere.

JetSMART will expand its operations in the city and fly directly from Brazil to Argentina with the Curitiba-Buenos Aires route, which already has tickets on sale and has its first takeoff scheduled for July 11th. 

Chile expects to receive more than 500.000 visitors from Brazil in 2024, according to the Chilean National Tourism Service (Sernatur). With the new flight, the expectation is that thousands of tourists from Paraná will travel to Santiago and take advantage of its tourist, sports and gastronomic offer. 

JetSMART currently offers a total of nine direct flights from Brazil. The two flights from Curitiba are added to seven other routes that already connect Florianópolis with Buenos Aires and Santiago do Chile; Rio de Janeiro with Santiago, Buenos Aires and Montevideo; and São Paulo and Foz do Iguaçu (PR) also with Santiago.

In addition, the airline has 13 connecting flight options from Brazil to other destinations, including: São Paulo to Lima, Buenos Aires, Concepción and Puerto Montt, all via Santiago. From Rio de Janeiro, there are flights to Iquique, Calama, Antofagasta, Concepción and Puerto Montt, also connecting with Santiago, in addition to flights from Rio de Janeiro to Mendoza and Lima, connecting in Buenos Aires. Finally, for those flying from Florianópolis, it is possible to go to Concepción via Santiago or to Lima via Buenos Aires.

In March this year, ch-aviation recognized JetSMART as the company with the youngest aircraft fleet in South America and the fifth youngest in the world, with an average age of 2,95 years, in the ch-aviation World's award Younger Aircraft Fleet Award. Its fleet is made up of 38 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, making it the largest ultra-low-cost airline (ULCC) in South America, and has two SKYTRAX awards as the best low-cost airline in 2021 and 2023.
