Airbus is developing a new recovery plan for its Space Systems business, a plan that involves cash containment and restructuring of activities.
The movement in the field of defense and space by Airbus seeks to close new negotiations in the market, mainly in the sale of satellites as published by Reuters.
In addition to Airbus, the negotiation will also include the participation of other companies, such as Thales Alenia Space () and Leonardo (Italy). Despite the efforts of European companies, Elon Musk's Starlink easily leads the market for low-Earth orbit satellites, driven by the internet offered by Musk.
“This evolution probably needs to take into some form of consolidation,” Lorenzo Mariani, co-general manager at Leonardo, told Reuters.
