Embraer announces Brazil’s first Phenom 100EX

Embraer 100EX first jet in Brazil

Embraer recently delivered the first Phenom 100EX to the Brazilian market. Announced last year, the aircraft is the most recent launch by Embraer Executive Aviation, which has Brazil as the second largest market for the Phenom 100 family. The fleet now totals 116 ed aircraft locally – the equivalent of more than a quarter of the global Phenom 100 fleet.

The jet was purchased by a businessman in the heavy equipment industry, who was already using a first-generation Phenom 100, to increase productivity in his weekly routine of visits to geographically distant branches and customers. On its most frequent routes, the new aircraft will depart from his city in the South Region, heading to locations within the same region and also in the Southeast and Midwest – including several destinations not served by airlines or with low frequency of commercial flights.

Efficiency gains, advanced technology and greater comfort for engers and pilots are the distinguishing features of the Phenom 100EX. In its fourth generation, the Phenom 100 family combines the efficiency of air transport with unparalleled operating costs in business aviation.

Phenom 100EX

The Phenom 100EX is an entry-level jet that represents maximum comfort, operational versatility and single-pilot friendly technology. The aircraft features an impressive ramp presence with the most ergonomic access ladder in its class, the largest entry door and the most spacious and accessible baggage compartment. On board, art meets innovation in a space where comfort is paramount, with the tallest and widest cabin in its class, combined with abundant natural light through large windows. The best-in-class interior features ergonomic seats, Upper Tech digital cabin controls and luxurious interiors with Embraer design DNA.

The cockpit has also been enhanced, with more legroom for the pilot and an open cockpit concept for easier communication with the cabin, as well as new safety features, including the first in its class to offer the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS). Additional avionics enhancements, as part of the Garmin 3000-based Prodigy Touch, include FlightStream 510, stabilized approach, wind shear prediction, and 3D auto-scan radar with lightning and hail prediction.

The aircraft is capable of flying at 41.000 feet (12.497 meters) and is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW617F1-E engines, with 1.730 pounds of thrust each. In addition to a cruising speed of 406 knots and a four-occupant range of 1.178 nautical miles (2.182 km) with NBAA IFR reserves, the Phenom 100EX is capable of speeds of up to Mach 0,70 and is one of the most sustainable twin-engine jets from the market. It is a versatile aircraft, built to offer the highest level of operational flexibility, with high utilization and low maintenance costs.
