GOL Linhas Aéreas and Royal Air Maroc are today entering into a Codeshare agreement (Flight Sharing) that will benefit GOL Customers on international flights between São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU) and Casablanca (CMN).

The agreement also covers routes within the North African country, from Casablanca (CMN), to Marrakech (RAK), Agadir (AGA), Tangier (TNG), Fes (FEZ), Oujda (OUD), Nador (NDR), Ouarzazate (OZZ), Laâyoune (EUN), Errachadia (ERH) and Dakhla (VIL). In return, Royal Air Maroc customers will have access to a rich connection in Guarulhos to destinations throughout Brazil with GOL. The agreement will also enable GOL to sell interline connections to more than 20 destinations in Africa operated by Royal Air Maroc.    

 

The g of the codeshare agreement with Royal Air Maroc consolidates GOL's position as the leading Brazilian airline in rapprochement and cooperation with the African continent, with the largest number of routes and frequencies available in the connection between the two continents, which in turn has the potential to leverage business and positively benefit local economies.

 

The Codeshare agreement allows both companies to sell flights incorporating the partner's destinations, increasing their network and sales force. For engers, this partnership also provides a set of advantages, such as more fare options to choose from, purchase of a single ticket in local currency (for itineraries on both companies), guaranteed protection on connecting flights, greater ease in booking flights, single check-in and baggage check-in for connecting flights, in addition to enjoying more destinations within the GOL and Royal Air Maroc networks.

Currently the Moroccan company has three weekly flights connecting Guarulhos to Casablanca on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From CMN, there are also three flights to GRU on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All flights are operated by Dreamliner 788 aircraft, which have 18 seats in Business Class and 256 seats in Economy Class. In Brazil, customers from Morocco will have access to GOL's extensive range of destinations in Brazil, with 65 bases operated from north to south of the country.

 

GOL and Royal Air Maroc will progressively add more destinations to the Codeshare agreement, both in South America, with the Brazilian airline, and in Africa, with the Moroccan airline. Soon, customers of both companies will also be able to accumulate and redeem points in the loyalty programs Smiles, from GOL, and Safar Flyer Loyalty, from Royal Air Maroc.
