Anac warns about the importance of taking some preventive actions on equipment that has been directly affected by the waters, as they may have suffered damage and deterioration, visible or hidden, which have the potential to compromise the safety of aeronautical operations.

The Agency's recommendation is that thorough inspections be carried out by qualified professionals on this equipment to identify hidden damage or deterioration in aircraft installations, aeronautical components, sensitive tools and equipment, and materials in stock.

Furthermore, the Agency recommends that the entire inspection process carried out and any necessary repairs be documented by professionals.

Aeronautical products will be released for use only after confirmation of their full integrity and operability. This may require disassembly and internal inspections, in addition to operational tests.
