The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) published this Tuesday (17) a new Operational Safety Alert (ASO 003-0/2024). The alert aimed at the civil aviation community, including aircraft owners, operators and maintenance organizations, focuses on aircraft and aeronautical products affected by recent floods in the Porto Alegre region and other areas of Rio Grande do Sul.
“Due to the recent flooding in the Porto Alegre region and other locations in Rio Grande do Sul, it is imperative that all Air Operators and Maintenance Organizations, whose aircraft and aeronautical products had with water, contaminants and debris during this period, consider that they may have suffered damage and deterioration, visible or hidden, which may lead to unsafe operating conditions.”
The ASO continues with inspection recommendations, which can be viewed in full at document issued by ANAC.
