The new weekly service will operate every Sunday on the Samarkand-Tel Aviv route with an Air Samarkand Airbus A321neo aircraft. Flights will depart Samarkand, Uzbekistan, at 6:9, arriving in Tel Aviv five and a half hours later at 25:11 local time. Return flights will depart Tel Aviv at 20:18, arriving in Samarkand at 40:XNUMX local time.

The latest development of Air Samarkand’s route network will strengthen tourism and trade ties between Uzbekistan and Israel, as well as connect two historically and culturally rich cities.

The development coincides with recent initiatives to strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel. In 2024, Israel ed Uzbekistan’s candidacy for hip in the World Trade Organization, and in January this year, representatives of Uzbekistan and Israel discussed labor migration issues, with the aim of expanding cooperation in the social and economic spheres.

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Tel Aviv is known for its picturesque beaches, modern architecture and rich cultural life. Tel Aviv serves as a gateway to Israel’s holy sites, including Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth, making it an attractive destination for believers of many faiths. In addition, the city offers a variety of opportunities for shopping, culinary exploration and cultural events.

For travelers from Israel, the new flight offers convenient access to Samarkand, the historic center of the Great Silk Road and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, the growing market in Uzbekistan is of interest to Israeli investors and companies, and the launch of regular flights will significantly simplify business travel.

The launch of flights to Tel Aviv is the latest step in Air Samarkand’s strategy to expand its international network. By 2025, the airline plans to increase the frequency of flights to key destinations and add new international destinations. The Uzbek airline is also continuing to expand its fleet, investing in modern aircraft and improving customer service to strengthen its position in the Central Asian market.

In 2024, Air Samarkand began its first scheduled flights in March to the Turkish capital Istanbul, and subsequently opened destinations to Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, the Saudi religious cities of Jeddah and Medina, the tourist hotspots of Nha Trang and Phú Quốc in Vietnam, and Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt from Samarkand and Tashkent.
