The average price of airline tickets ed a drop of 3,9% in 2023, compared to the previous year, according to the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). Last year, the average fare was R$636,32 compared to R$662,61 in 2022.
According to ANAC, of the total tickets sold last year, more than half (51,2%) cost up to R$500. Another 41,6% corresponded to fares above R$500 and below R$1,5, 7,2 thousand. Finally, 1,5% cost more than R$XNUMX.
“These data show the effort and resilience of Brazilian airlines to offer competitive prices, despite an adverse economic scenario. That is why we have maintained a purposeful dialogue with the federal government in search of measures that strengthen the sector and contribute to the reduction of structural costs”, says the president of the Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR), Jurema Monteiro.
