Paracommands, began its activities on March 08, at the Air Force Academy (AFA). The course is taught by the Aeroterrestre Rescue Squadron – PARA-SAR and aims at training Brazilian Air Force (FAB) military personnel to carry out the Air Force Actions planned for the Unit.
The CCFA lasts 3 months and is divided into 3 phases: the selection phase in Pirassununga (SP), the technical phase in Campo Grande (MS) and the operations phase in the locations of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Petrolina (PE), Manaus (AM) and Ladario (MS). The finalists will become part of PARA-SAR and will be able to carry out Air Force actions.
The inaugural class of the course was held on March 09 with the participation of the Deputy Chief of t Operations of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier Major Ar Arnaldo Augusto do Amaral Neto; the Head of the Sub-Command of Security and Defense of the Preparation Command, Infantry Brigadier Marcelo Rosa Costa; the Commander of the AFA, Colonel Aviator Marcelo Gobett Cardoso; and the Commander of PARA-SAR, Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Claudio Porto Antunes da Silva.
ca that the course aims to train Officers and Sergeants to plan and execute operations in favor of Aerospace Power. “With the 2021 edition, it is expected that PARA-SAR will be able to receive new soldiers able to act in several missions, such as: direct actions, special reconnaissance, counterterrorism and advanced air guidance”, said.
The Squadron Commander, Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Claudio Porto Antunes da Silva, explained the importance of the course. “PARA-SAR acts in the Air Force as a force multiplier of the Aerospace Power, in this sense, the training of the CCFA is essential, so that the future operator can compose the Unit's detachments”, completed.
