Airbus deliveries increased 2% in the first half airbus space

According to industry sources, Airbus delivered around 67 planes in June, totaling approximately 323 aircraft in the first half of this year, which represents an increase of 2% compared to the same period last year.

Last week, Airbus adjusted its annual delivery forecast from 800 to 770 planes, citing supply chain concerns. The company did not comment before the release of monthly and semi-annual data, scheduled for July 8. Preliminary quarterly numbers show a 4% reduction compared to the second quarter of the previous year.

Underscoring the trends that caused Airbus to cut its targets last week, the number of deliveries in June was about 10 aircraft below the company's original ambitions for the month, on top of deficits in previous months, according to suppliers.

Airbus also justified reducing its delivery target last week due to a lack of engines, structural parts and interiors, following reports from Reuters about further production delays at the end of May.

Last week, Airbus modified its plans to increase production of the A320neo family, postponing the target of reaching a record production speed of 75 jets per month from 2026 to 2027. Production currently hovers around 50 jets per month.
