Airbus presents new internal features for the A330neo

Airbus announced, at the end of May (28), through its official website, the new internal changes in the updated versions of the A330neo, also presenting them through a full-size model.

One of the first changes announced by the manufacturer is the new coating of the aircraft's internal side walls, roof s and door frames, in addition to the electro-dimmable windows (EDWs). These new features will reduce the overall weight of the aircraft by approximately 100 kg.

Additionally, from the first quarter of 2026, delivered A330neos will include new “Airspace Welcome ” lighting at the enger entrance, which will offer customization options for airlines.

“Overall, these customizable visual design elements are the first of their kind on an aircraft widebody consistent with the DNA of the Airspace Cross program, introduced more recently also for the A320 family” declared the manufacturer.

In addition to this new feature, Airbus also presented the “Electro-adjustable Window” for business classes, which is already available on the A350.

The new windows will be an alternative to traditional fitted curtains as they darken quickly and block sunlight.

The resources presented by Airbus should be made available to customers from 2027, as announced by the manufacturer.
