Fly ADam, an air mobility platform, recorded a 300% increase in aircraft searches and charters in December, due to the end of year holidays. Now, demand is still high because of the summer holidays. The concern is with the lack of aircraft to serve all those interested in chartering.
The most popular destinations for chartering continue to be Rio de Janeiro, the capital and Angra dos Reis, in addition to Trancoso and other destinations in Bahia, mainly. “Our recommendation is for people to book in advance to guarantee the aircraft, since the offer is limited. We are expanding our strategies and service to include all interested parties”, said Daniel Diniz, CEO of Fly Adam.
The company only works with aircraft approved by ANAC for the Air Taxi service, through the Voe Seguro program.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the volume of air charters has been increasing. These are people who want or need to travel and can choose to avoid commercial flights and maintain social isolation. The potential of this market is enormous.
Today, commercial airlines serve around 100 cities across Brazil with regular flights. To reach other locations, the country has more than 15 aircraft and 3 airfields. It is the world's second general aviation fleet.
