A Turkish Airlines has just announced the inclusion of “Oldest Bread” from around the world on its in-flight menu. Made with Einkorn and Emmer wheat, considered the oldest in Anatolia, the birthplace of the most ancient civilizations, this new menu option reflects the connection between tradition and modernity, in line with Turkish Airlines’ commitment to sharing its culture with its engers through gastronomy.

The "Oldest Bread” was officially launched on the flight TK3 from Istanbul to New York on September 22, 2024. During this flight, the airline will show a film shot in the Göbeklitepe, Karahantepe and Euphrates River regions, with the of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The bread, warmed and served in a special packaging and accompanied by butter and olive oil, will be available in the Business Cabin on intercontinental routes. Therefore, Executive Cabin engers on flights between São Paulo and Istanbul will also have the opportunity to try this exclusive delicacy. The preparation is carried out by Turkish DO&CO, the company's catering company, in Istanbul, and the recipe was developed with the advice of renowned Turkish culinary historians Ömür Akkor and Çetin Şenkul.
