Antonov Airlines has been contracted by the NATO Acquisition and Agency (NSPA) to provide strategic airlift services for the next five years.
Antonov was hired under the Strategic Airlift International Solution (SALIS) program, which the company has been a partner since 2006. For almost 16 years, Antonov provided air transport services of interest to NATO and the European Union, operating under contracts of 2 to 3 years. However, the document announced on Friday (12) is the first to cover SALIS for a period of five years.
According to the company, the longer contract represents the confidence and satisfaction of customers in the company's work. Two AN-124-100 are constantly available to the customer, with other aircraft available on request. The AN-22 Antei (largest turboprop in the world) and the AN-225 Mryia (largest aircraft in the world) are also used to fulfill SALIS program missions.
Before the agreement is signed, of the company and NSPA will meet in Prague, Czech Republic, on September 29th and 30th. At the meeting, the results were discussed three-year interim contract.
In addition to representatives of the Salis Program, the general director of Antonov, Sergiy Bychkov, the Acting Deputy Director General, Mykhaylo Kharchenko, and the directors of Antonov Logistics SALIS, Oleksandr Gritsenko and Andrii Chernyavskiy, participated in the conference.
