Archer’s first eVTOL could fly commercially this year

Archer Aviation has released its 2024 financial and operating results, highlighting the development and commercialization of its Midnight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.</p> The company also issued a letter to shareholders with guidance for the first quarter. Archer CEO and founder Adam Goldstein said the company is moving forward with production and commercialization of its Midnight aircraft. “With our new Launch Edition program now in place and aircraft in production, we are on track to deliver our first revenue-generating Midnight later this year.” Manufacturing of the aircraft has begun at its facility in Covington, Georgia. Up to ten units are expected to be produced by December, while certification testing continues.</p> Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) will be the first customer of the Launch Edition program, with an initial fleet of Midnights expected to be deployed later this year.
