Aerolíneas Argentinas resumes flights to Porto Alegre

Aerolíneas Argentinas Porto Alegre

Aerolíneas Argentinas resumed its flights between Buenos Aires and Porto Alegre this Wednesday (5), after ten months of suspension, due to the floods that affected Rio Grande do Sul in 2024, which resulted in the closure of Salgado Filho airport.

The aircraft making the inaugural flight was a Boeing 737-700 (LV-GOO) displaying the airline's classic 1980s color scheme.

Initially, there will be three weekly flights, but Aerolíneas said it intends to increase the number of frequencies progressively as operations stabilize.

Salgado Filho (POA) has been reopened since December, but its capacity has been gradually restored. For international flights, the airport is expected to expand its seat offering to five destinations by April, through four airlines.
