A Avcon Jet added its first Bombardier Global 6500 business jet after receiving its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in Austria.
The aircraft, ed OE-LOT, was delivered directly by the manufacturer in early September. It completed the delivery flight from Montreal (YUL) to Vienna (VIE) with Austrian registration.
Three days after delivery, the aircraft made its first flight under the code “AOJ” to Budapest (BUD), Hungary. In a statement, Avcon Jet said that the arrival of the Global 6500 is part of the gradual integration of ten new aircraft that took place during the European summer.
With the latest addition, the company now operates forty aircraft ed in Austria. In addition, the company also operates a second Gulfstream G500, currently ed in the Czech Republic. It also maintains operations in Malta, with subsidiary Avcon Jet Malta managing eleven aircraft under its Maltese AOC. In San Marino, Avcon Jet San Marino controls a fleet of fifteen aircraft.
