Continuing the expansion plan of its operations in Brazil, Avianca closes 2022 with good news: the cities of Manaus (AM) and Belo Horizonte (MG) will gain direct connection to Bogotá, Colombia. The company will start operating the two new routes from March next year.
“We are ending a year of consolidation of Avianca in Brazil and we continue with our commitment to offer more and more point-to-point routes, adding destinations to Brazilians. In addition to announcing these two new direct routes to better connect Brazilians via Bogotá, on January 11th we will start direct operations between Guarulhos and Cartagena, the best way to reach the Colombian Caribbean”, says Gustavo Esusy, Avianca's commercial manager for Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Still according to the executive, if 2022 was a year of important announcements for the company, 2023 will be even more emblematic.
“Brazil is an extremely strategic market and remains on our radar. Next year we will have great news, always with the purpose of being an Avianca for everyone”He says.
The new routes between Brazil and Colombia will be operated in aircraft of the A320 family with capacity for up to 180 engers. Avianca will offer 4 weekly flights between Bogotá and Manaus and 5 flights between Bogotá and Belo Horizonte.
