Brazilians have just won an unprecedented, direct and non-stop route option to enjoy their vacation in the Caribbean. The new route of Avianca that connects São Paulo to Cartagena started operating with flight AV130 this Wednesday (11).
With three weekly frequencies, flights depart at 5:55 am from São Paulo International Airport (GRU) every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday to Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG). The return to GRU takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 19:55 pm.
“Following our commitment to offering more and more point-to-point routes, we started 2023 by inaugurating the São Paulo-Cartagena route, the best way for Brazilians to reach the Colombian Caribbean directly, non-stop, and without the need for a visa”, says Avianca's commercial manager for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, Gustavo Esusy.
The objective of an “Avianca for all” is already a reality, according to Esusy. “We are committed to making sure that more and more Brazilians can visit the best destinations in Colombia”, complete.

2023 is a strategic year for Avianca in Brazil. The airline's operation will be consolidated with 5 routes connecting Colombia and Brazil and a total of 40 weekly frequencies distributed as follows:
- Bogotá — São Paulo: 21 weekly flights
- Bogota — Rio de Janeiro: 7 flights a week
- Cartagena — Sao Paulo; 3 weekly frequencies
- Bogotá — Manaus: 4 flights per week (starting in March)
- Bogotá — Belo Horizonte: 5 flights per week (starting in March)

This Wednesday, the capital of Chile, Santiago, will also be connected directly to Cartagena — another non-stop destination for Avianca in South America.
