During the high summer season, Azul Viagens, Azul's tourism segment, will expand its dedicated flights by 140%, reaching a total of 2.764 flights from December 7, 2024 to February 2, 2025. This expansion represents more than the double last year's offer, which was 1.142 dedicated flights, available through Azul's official channels.
The interior of São Paulo and Minas Gerais will be responsible for a large number of origin flights, with 656 operations leaving from cities such as Campinas (SP), São José do Rio Preto (SP), Uberlândia (MG), Ribeirão Preto (SP) , Presidente Prudente (SP) and Bauru (SP). These flights represent 24% of total operations.
Once again, the cities on the northeastern coast will be the main destinations, with 1.339 flights scheduled for the region, representing 48% of total flights. Among the prominent cities are Maceió (AL), Recife (PE), Porto Seguro (BA), Natal (RN), Fortaleza (CE) and João Pessoa (PB).
“The interior of Minas and São Paulo has great demand and this demand has been growing in recent years. With the partnership of dedicated flights for Azul Viagens, we were able to contribute with more affordable fares, which increases demand and further stimulates package sales”, comments Ricardo Bezerra, Commercial Manager at Azul Viagens.
According to Giulliana Mesquita, Product and Business Manager at Azul Viagens, the flights will bring significant benefits to Customers:
“Dedicated flights offer more convenience, as they leave cities, for example, in the interior of São Paulo, going directly, without connections, to their destination, which could be a capital in the Northeast.”
