Azul and Gol check-ins change places at Recife Airport

The enger terminal of Recife International Airport will undergo some changes in the early hours of next Sunday, November 13th. Gol and Azul check-ins will change places, with the aim of improving the flow of engers inside the terminal.

The change will promote positive impacts on the movement of people and on the boarding experience. The areas will be properly signposted to direct people properly. In addition, airport and airline employees will be able to assist s. These changes are part of the expansion works, which began in March of this year.   

With the new positioning, Gol check-in will be transferred to the south side of the enger terminal, with access through doors B5 and B6 on the departure floor. Azul's branches will now operate on the North side, with entrance through doors B1 and B2. The transfer of sectors promotes a better distribution of engers in the check-in areas, and the circulation on the departure floor. The change also involves relocating the Azul and Gol stores, the self-service totems and the istrative areas of the two airlines. In case of doubt, s can consult their operators in advance.  

There are no changes to Latam's check-in points, which remain in their current location on the south side; nor those of TAP, on the North side.

According to the Director of Institutional Relations and Communication at Aena Brazil, Marcelo Bento, these modifications are already a preparation for the period of greater flow at the airport, with the beginning of the high season, in the Brazilian summer. “The movement starts at dawn on the 13th, at a time when there will be no flights at the airport. Thus, the entire structure will be ready for os firstoflights Sunday morning", highlights Marcelo.  

The director also explains that the date was chosen to coincide with the Sunday in the middle of the holiday, the day that s a lower volume of operations, minimizing any possible setbacks for customers.
