As we announced yesterday (25), first hand, BLUE confirmed this Thursday (26), new flights to Curaçao departing from Belo Horizonte (BH Airport), in the Caribbean, also adding Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, in the United States, in addition to regional connections with the cities of Araxá, Divinópolis and São Paulo in Minas Gerais. The announcement was made this morning in the state capital, at a meeting between Fábio Campos, director of Institutional and Airport Relations at Azul, with Romeu Zema, governor of Minas Gerais, Herlichy Bastos, director of Operations and Infrastructure at BH Airport, and Andre Rojer, Latin America Manager for Curaçao.
According to the company, BH Airport – the only international airport in the state – will have a weekly Azul flight to Curaçao and three weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale in the first half of 2023, as well as daily connections from the capital of Minas Gerais to Araxá and from Campinas to Divinópolis. In the second half, Azul will also offer two weekly flights from BH Airport to Orlando and two weekly flights to São João del Rei, a historic city with colonial architecture located just 11 km from the internationally known Tiradentes.
The start dates for ticket sales and the opening days of the new international and regional operations will be announced shortly by Azul.

We are getting closer and closer to reaching our goal of serving 200 destinations in Brazil”, he added.

With the three new additions, Azul will operate in 14 cities in Minas Gerais, which today already operates regularly in Belo Horizonte, Uberaba, Juiz de Fora – Zona da Mata, Ipatinga, Montes Claros, Uberlândia, Governador Valadares, Patos de Minas , Varginha, Paracatu and Téofilo Otoni. Only at BH Airport, the company has an average of 95 daily flights to almost 50 destinations in Brazil and abroad.
