Azul announces new routes and aircraft stickers to celebrate operations in Bahia

Azul Bahia government event

Azul wants to further expand its connections within Bahia. The goal is to strengthen its operations in the state, given the growth in demand throughout the year, and especially with the arrival of the high season and the increase in demand for cities in the northeast and Bahia as summer destinations.

The news, announced today, in a ceremony attended by local authorities and the Federal Government, executives and the press, at Salvador International Airport (Salvador Bahia Airport), are the daily flights from the capital of Bahia to the cities of Lençóis, Guanambi and Barreiras – and which are already being sold on the company's official channels.

In this way, Azul's operations in the state are strengthened and expanded beyond the four destinations already served (Salvador, Ilhéus, Vitória da Conquista and Porto Seguro). From the capital alone, the company currently operates an average of 18 daily flights.

The news brought by the airline to Bahia was literally loaded with symbolism. The company officially opened the event with the landing of an Airbus A320, which took off from Viracopos (in Campinas-SP), with stickers on its fuselage with images representing the beauties and tourist attractions of Bahia. The initiative is part of Azul's partnership with the Federal Government in the program Get to Know Brazil: Flying, launched since 2023 by the Ministry of Tourism and which aims to encourage domestic flights and travel.

In addition to being part of its mission to connect Brazilian cities in all regions, the company has made a commitment to prepare 10% of Azul's fleet with a special design, featuring different Brazilian destinations on its fuselages. Another agreed action, which has been successful on Azul's flights throughout Brazil, are the messages on the aircraft, encouraging Customers to plan their trips in advance and discover more and more Brazilian destinations, such as the much-desired cities of Bahia.
