Azul completes 11 years of operations in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, with more than 350 thousand Customers transported

A BLUE completed 11 years of operations in Santa Maria, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, in October. During the period, the Company transported approximately 354 thousand Customers on around 7 thousand flights.

Azul currently operates four weekly flights from Santa Maria to Porto Alegre and another four weekly flights to Campinas, the Company's main hub, where Customers can connect with flights to more than 160 domestic and international destinations. The routes are operated by ATR 72-600 aircraft, with capacity for 70 engers, offering comfort and convenience for those wishing to travel between the three cities. 

The routes began on October 14, 2013 with the aim of increasing connectivity, providing new flight options for the population; boosting the regional economy, facilitating enger transportation, stimulating tourism, commerce and local industry. In addition, the Company's presence reaffirms its commitment to regional aviation and expands Azul's operations in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, consolidating its position as one of the country's leading air carriers.
