As one of the airlines with the largest number of regional destinations within Brazil, Azul Linhas Aéreas is now targeting its international expansion, more specifically, to Curaçao, a Dutch island located in the Caribbean.
According to sources close to the matter, the airline is close to announcing the new destination. It is not yet known what the base of the airline that will operate the flight will be, not ruling out the operation from Belém, Manaus or Viracopos.
In addition, it is very likely that the Airbus A320neo will be the aircraft to operate the route. This model currently operates some of the international destinations offered by the company, such as flights departing from Manaus (MAO) and Belém (BEL) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
Located in the Caribbean, the island of Curaçao is famous for its idyllic beaches, including extensive coral reefs. The capital, Willemstad, is famous for its buildings with colonial architecture. The island is also a gateway to western beaches such as Baía Azul, a popular spot for divers.
