Blue Embraer 195-E2

Azul Linhas Aéreas has just added another Embraer 195-E2 aircraft to its fleet: the “Sou do Brasil, sou Azul”, ed under the prefix PS-ADB. The jet landed last Saturday, the 8th, at Confins Airport (MG), where it will undergo the registration and certification processes before beginning operations on the company’s routes – which is the leader in domestic operations and, currently, the largest operator of the E195-E2 model jets, Embraer’s latest generation.

This is the first E2 received by Azul this year, as a result of the investment of over R$3 billion made by the company in the Brazilian aerospace industry. Throughout 2025, other aircraft of the same model are expected to be incorporated into the fleet, reinforcing Azul's commitment to the modernization of national aviation.

Manufactured by Embraer, a Brazilian company recognized worldwide for its excellence in the sector, the acquisition of the E2 reinforces the strategic partnership between two organizations with expertise in Brazil and that believe in the country's potential for development and growth.

With the arrival of “I’m from Brazil, I’m Azul”, the company’s fleet now has 212 aircraft, 31 of which are the Embraer 195-E2 model, the largest and most modern commercial aircraft manufactured in Brazil. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the E2 transports up to 136 customers and offers on-board Wi-Fi, individual screens in all seats and high fuel efficiency, which contributes to a reduction of up to 25% in CO2 emissions.

After the registration procedures are completed, the new E2 will be integrated into Azul's air network, which currently operates more than 900 daily flights to more than 150 destinations in Brazil and abroad.

“We are very happy to start 2025 with another Embraer E2 aircraft in our fleet. The 'I'm from Brazil, I'm Azul' represents not only the renewal of our commitment to efficient and sustainable operations, but also reinforces how much we believe in Brazil and in the strength of the national industry. Having a fleet made up of aircraft manufactured here is a source of great pride for all of us at Azul and honors a partnership that began in 2019, when we received our first E2. We will continue to invest, grow and increasingly connect our country”, highlighted Abhi Shah, CEO of Azul.
