On Sunday, June 01st, Azul made its inaugural flight from Viracopos Airport in Campinas to the city of Porto, Portugal. This is the second international flight operated by the Company in Portugal. The first was in Lisbon. With this action, the company reinforces Azul's network abroad and guarantees even more connectivity for its Customers.
The first flight took off with 100% occupancy. In total, there will be three weekly flights to the city of Porto, on Airbus A330 Neo aircraft, with capacity for 298 customers, including 34 seats in business class.
The Network Planning Manager, Beatriz Barbi, celebrated the debut of yet another international destination for the company, highlighting the importance of the connectivity provided by the route. “This is Azul’s commitment: to offer more and more destination options to Customers throughout the country, especially those who live in cities where only Azul operates. We are optimistic about the future of this route, which, depending on its acceptance, may have its frequency increased”, stated Beatriz.
