Azul resumes operations in Divinópolis (MG) with direct flights to Belo Horizonte and Campinas

Azul began operating today at another base: Divinópolis, located in the central-western region of Minas Gerais. The city will have two new daily flights, one to Campinas (Viracopos) and one to Belo Horizonte (Confins). The new routes will be operated by Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft, with capacity for 9 customers.

The daily flight between Campinas, the Company's main hub, and Divinópolis will operate at 07:30 a.m., with a scheduled return flight at 17:00 p.m. The flight from Divinópolis to Belo Horizonte will operate at 9:55 a.m., and the return flight will operate daily at 15:40 p.m.    

“The opening of the new base in Divinópolis reflects our commitment to expanding connectivity in Brazil and offering more travel options to our Customers, strengthening Azul’s presence in the region. With these new daily flights to Campinas and Belo Horizonte, we are providing a more comfortable and faster travel option for residents and visitors of Divinópolis, meeting a growing demand,” says Vitor Silva, General Manager of Network, Strategic Planning and Alliances.

The resumption of flights represents a significant advance for mobility, tourism and the economy of Divinópolis, in addition to providing greater convenience to citizens and fostering job creation. Located near the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, Divinópolis is recognized as a fashion hub in the state of Minas Gerais, due to its high concentration of clothing and textile industries. The “Little Princess of the West” also stands out in the steel/metallurgical sector, and is also known as a university city and for its many major events throughout the year. Sales for the new destinations are already available on Azul’s website, at the sales center and at partner travel agencies.
