As of today, Porto, in Portugal, becomes the 12th destination served by Azul outside the country. With the inaugural flight that departed from Campinas at 17:20 pm this Monday (03/06), the company expands the offer of flights between Brazil and Portugal to 17 weekly frequencies, strengthening Azul's main connection center in the country and offering a new option of destination in Europe for customers flying Azul.
Connections between the cities will take place three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with Airbus A330 model aircraft.
The Portuguese city will be the second European destination to have Azul flights, which already operates in Lisbon. With the new flight, Campinas, which today is the main connection center in Latin America, will have direct and regular connections to 59 of Azul's 113 destinations, six of which are international: Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, in the United States, Lisbon and Porto, in Portugal, and Buenos Aires and Bariloche, in Argentina.
“With great enthusiasm, today we are expanding our international network, flying to yet another destination in Europe. The takeoff of this flight represents a new page in the history of Azul. At the same time, Campinas, our biggest hub in the country, is even stronger, with a new destination option for our Customers, connecting our entire domestic and international network. We are very happy with the start of this operation and we are sure that this flight will be a success”, emphasizes Azul's Revenue Vice-President, Abhi Shah
Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Rio, Goiânia and Cuiabá will be the main Brazilian cities with convenient connections for the new Campinas-Porto flight. In about nine hours, Customers will be able to depart from these regions and disembark in the Portuguese city. In addition, in Porto, Azul, in partnership with TAP, will offer immediate connections to Amsterdam, Geneva, Luxembourg and London.
