Azul will operate 132 extra flights during the Easter and Tiradentes holidays, with most of the operations to the Northeast. The region, which has several religious and tourist destinations, will receive 57 extra flights, offering 7.597 seats during the long weekend.
From April 17 to 21, the main destinations in the Northeast will be Recife, Azul's largest hub in the Northeast, with 20 flights; Natal, with seven flights; Porto Seguro, with six; Maceió, with five; Aracaju, with four; Fortaleza, Juazeiro do Norte (CE) and Petrolina (PE), with three flights each; João Pessoa, São Luiz and Salvador, with two flights each.
“The additional flights were planned for tourist destinations and cities with higher enger flow, due to traditional festivals at the time. The extra schedules and frequencies represent more options for Customers, making it easier to go and return during the holiday”, says Vitor Silva, General Manager of Network, Strategic Planning and Alliances at Azul.
The routes with the most flights are Fortaleza-Recife; Recife-Petrolina and Recife-Juazeiro do Norte, which will each have three flights. Juazeiro do Norte (CE) is one of the highlights during this period, as it receives many pilgrims because of Padre Cícero, who has a special meaning for the faithful during Easter.
