Azul will have 549 extra flights for the high holiday season in July, between June 29 and August 4, in addition to 1.408 dedicated flights from Azul Viagens, the company's tourism operator, totaling 1.957 extra operations. The highlights are the new routes from Congonhas airport, in São Paulo, to Ilhéus and Porto Seguro, in Bahia.
The main routes served will be from Congonhas to Porto Seguro, which will have 24 extra flights, and Ilhéus, with 16 extra flights. The company will also increase the frequency of flights leaving Confins (MG), which will be the airport that will receive the most extra flights during the period, to destinations such as Aracaju (CE), Campina Grande (PB), Fortaleza (CE), Jericoacoara (CE), Parnaíba (PI), João Pessoa (PB), Ilhéus (BA), Maceió (AL) and Rio de Janeiro – Santos Dumont (RJ).
Viracopos airport, in Campinas (SP), Azul's main hub, will have extra flights to Boas Vista (RR), Maceió (AL) and Porto Alegre (RS), in addition to the route to Bonito and Corumbá, in Mato Grosso. do Sul. In addition, the company will have increased flights between Salvador and Ilhéus, in Bahia; between Recife (PE) and Rio de Janeiro – Galeão (RJ) and between Guarulhos airport (SP) and Porto Alegre (RS).
