Azul began this Wednesday (18) extra operations departing from Belo Horizonte (MG) and Santarém (PA) for the Çairé Festival in the seaside village of Alter do Chão, which takes place from September 19 to 23. The event, which mixes religion, culture, local cuisine and folk dances, refers to the legend of the boto and attracts customers from all over Brazil.
Flights between BH Airport and Maestro Wilson Fonseca Airport, from September 18 to 24, during the event, will be operated by Embraer E2 aircraft, with capacity for 136 customers. Flights departing from BH Airport will take place at 22:00 p.m., landing in the city of Pará at 01:15 a.m., every day except Tuesday. The return flight will depart from Santarém at 02:00 a.m., arriving in the city of Minas Gerais at 05:15 a.m., and will operate every day except Wednesday. The additional flights represent a 13% increase in the number of seats available.

In addition to the event in Çairé, Azul was an official sponsor of the Parintins Festival and transported 9,8 customers between June 26 and July 2 to the city. In total, there were 154 flights during the festival period to and from the island, which can only be accessed by
