Azul will offer extra flights for Madonna's highly anticipated show in Rio de Janeiro, departing from Brasília, in the Federal District. To meet the demand generated by the pop diva's iconic performance, the company scheduled two additional flights on May 4th and 5th, complementing its existing air network.

In addition, Azul will provide more than 400 flights from different regions, operated between May 1st and 7th, totaling more than 60.300 seats available for engers. The busiest days will be the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May, representing more than 58% of the takeoffs scheduled by Azul in the first week of the month.

In the city of Rio de Janeiro, the company operates in three important airports: Santos Dumont, Galeão and Jacarepaguá. Adding up all operations in the three terminals, Azul will provide 870 movements (round trip) during the period, providing more than 103 thousand seats – a capacity equivalent to one and a half Maracanã stadiums.

In order to facilitate access for Customers from all regions of the country, Azul is also offering temporary direct flights to Galeão from 27 other Brazilian cities, complementing the existing regular flights. Vitor Silva, general manager of Planning and Strategy at Azul, highlights: “We are always attentive to meeting the demand for important events that drive the local and national economies. We recognize the magnitude of this show and we believe that Brazilians from all over the country will want to watch the show live on Copacabana beach.”
