Azul will open the sale of flights to Correia Pinto in November, after certification of the airport

This month, Azul Linhas Aéreas will start selling flights between Campinas and Correia Pinto Regional Airport, in Santa Catarina. The information about the resumption of flights was celebrated by the Governor of the State, Carlos Moisés.

The company interrupted its flights to Correia Pinto, a city located 25 km from Lages (SC) due to infrastructure problems there. After works by the INFRACEA with the help of Infraero, following the requirements requested by Azul, flights will resume.

According to the Governor of Santa Catarina, Azul will start sales on November 16, however, flights will only operate from January 2022.

Infraero recently carried out the macro texture measurement service on the runway of the Regional Airport of Planalto Serrano – Correia Pinto (SC). Infracea delivered other works in early 2021, and the Airport has already been certified to operate commercial flights.

The first commercial operation took place in September of this year, with a newcomer Aerosul flight.

O Planalto Serrano Regional Airport – Correia Pinto received works that improve the infrastructure for engers and the safety of air operations, something much requested by Azul in recent months. Site fencing has been improved, pilots can now do night operations with PAPI, and the new surface weather station allows for accurate METAR data from the site.

In of comfort, the airport received work on the check-in counters and now has a car rental office next to the terminal.
