This year, Bariloche already has 230 direct seasonal flights guaranteed from Brazil and Chile, an increase of 38% compared to the 167 flights ed in 2024.
This expansion makes Bariloche airport the third most important in Argentina, behind only Ezeiza and Aeroparque in Buenos Aires. The increase in air connectivity is part of an international promotion strategy to attract more tourists during the high season. In this context, several airlines have confirmed operations in the city, including Aerolíneas Argentinas, Latam, Azul, Gol and Sky, in addition to the codeshare agreement between Aerolíneas Argentinas and Latam, facilitating the purchase of tickets with international connections.
The Brazilian market continues to be one of the most strategic for Bariloche, with direct flights from São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre, as well as connecting flights from Rio de Janeiro via Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires. In the Chilean market, Santiago and Puerto Montt remain the main gateways.
In the domestic market, connections are also strengthened with flights to Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario and Mendoza, including an increase in frequencies between the Argentine capital and Bariloche.
Among the new features this winter, Azul has confirmed its return to Bariloche with more flights and new routes. The company will operate direct flights from Campinas (SP), Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre, increasing frequencies compared to last year. Between June 17 and August 24, Azul will offer 90 flights between São Paulo and Bariloche, 34 departing from Belo Horizonte and 20 from Porto Alegre.
EMPROTUR highlighted that this growth is the result of ongoing work with airlines and tour operators to expand access options to the city. Bariloche airport continues to consolidate itself as an essential tourist hub in the region, with a growing flow of engers and an air offer that expands every year. The combination of more flights, better connections and consistent promotion of the destination allows for a winter season with a large number of visitors.
