Boeing Brings Immersive Aeronautical Experience to Brazil for High School Students

Students from public and private schools in São José dos Campos will have the opportunity to experience practical and immersive aviation activities thanks to the space Newton in a Box, which arrives in Brazil at the initiative of Boeing and whose official opening took place this Tuesday (20). In collaboration with the Norwegian NGO FIRST Scandinavia, the event has the of the Wings for All Program, National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), and SJK Airport. Activities began on May 12 and will continue until June 6.

O Newton in a Box is equipped with cutting-edge technology, prioritizing practical and experiential learning with flight simulators and the exploration of aerodynamics, ensuring that students experience the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) universe in an active and memorable way – all in a single and unforgettable day at the airport.

In addition to STEM activities, students will take guided tours of São José dos Campos Airport, where they will have a practical view of operations and some aviation careers.

The program, a first in the Southern Hemisphere and with the goal of serving up to 1.500 students, is based on the Newton Concept. Since 2018, the successful partnership between Boeing and FIRST Scandinavia has already implemented several Newton Rooms in Europe, Turkey and China. This integrated educational model is designed to shape future skills, empower communities and strengthen the role of science in society.
